Gino Policicchio - Owner/Barber

Gino began his career in 1998 after completing his training at The Career School for Hair. After various employment opportunities and experience in a number of domains he is now dedicated to styling strictly a male clientele. He and his partner, and twin brother Ben, opened Personal Touch Hair Studio in 2003 and he has continued to operate the salon for a now successful 6 years. He has perfected the art of creative cuts and design for men, from classic cuts with a straight blade finish to fohawks and flat-tops and modern styles with a twist. Known throughout the local area as “Brooklin's Finest Barber”, Gino will be sure to meet your expectations!

 

 

 

Ben Policicchio - Owner/Barber

Beginning his training at The Career School for Hair, Ben continued to work within the hair industry at various locations. Once realizing the desire to become an entrepreneur he went forth and became the owner of Mike's Hairstyling located in Whitby. Although you may not see Ben at the salon on a continual basis he does still manage to frequent Personal Touch. Ben welcomes you to visit him at either location for a top notch cut!

 

 

 

Christie Policicchio - Owner

Proudly hailing from the Maritimes, Christie brings with her a dynamic combination of friendliness and hospitality. Upon joining Gino and Ben at Personal Touch she occupies a variety of roles within the salon, from the front desk to administration and customer service. Her main goal is to ensure that every guest of the salon feels welcome and is there to help with any of your questions. Christie has continued on to become certified in IPL Laser Skin Treatments as well as Laser Hair Removal. Drop by and visit Christie at the salon and say hello!

 

 

 

Carol Dolinski - Stylist

Carol has been with Personal Touch for five years now and brings with her over twenty years of experience within the industry. Carol will take your hair from looking okay to looking FABULOUS! By honing in on her experience and skills she takes the time to analyze each client, taking into account their face shape and hair texture. Want to know a fun tidbit about Carol....At 11 years old her mother took her into a salon to get her hair cut. With hair past her waist and which had never been cut she entered to get a TRIM......after leaving with a short bob she never returned to a salon again until she began working there when she was 18 years old. Come and visit Carol at the salon and let her transform you into FANTASTIC!

 

 

 

Valerie Shaw - Receptionist

Valerie joined the Personal Touch team about two years ago and there hasn't been a dull moment since! After embarking on her teaching career she now only graces us with her presence on a part time basis. With her gift for gab she is more than accommodating in greeting all of the guests of the salon. As friendly as she is don't ask her to cut your hair though....she only books clients, she doesn't style them. She is however, very talented at recommending products, and her top pick would have to be Thicken Up by Paul Mitchell. “It has a great scent, and it actually works!”

 

 

 

Sam Hubbs - Esthetician, Laser Technician, Lash Extension Technician, Wedding Coordinator

Sam has been Personal Touch for five years now and has over twenty years of esthetic experience in her Purse. When it comes to esthetics Sam definitely has a flare for style! As well as providing a full menu of the latest in esthetic services Sam is also certified in providing Laser Skin Treatments using the latest in IPL laser technology as well as Laser Hair Removal. One of Sam's recommendations are Permanent Lash Extensions... “Whether they are for your wedding or on the beach they are a definite must-have!” Known for her high quality work as well as her friendly nature, Sam is just the person you are looking for in all of your esthetic needs. Sarah Nelson - Stylist

Sarah began at Personal Touch back in 2005 and brings with her ten years of hair experience. With the natural ability to communicate (Yes, she has the gift of gab aside from being a wonderful cook!) Sarah's specialty is that she has a passion for hair! By truly enjoying what she does Sarah is genuinely talented in all aspects of hair design. One of Sarah's favorite looks, especially for summer is the look of multi-tone sun kissed hi-lites. And she has perfected this trend by being able to capture the lighter colors that the sun brings out. So whatever look you are trying to achieve you can rest assured that Sarah will be able to make you look your absolute best. Lindsey Maguire - Stylist

With 18 years experience Lindsey has joined us at Personal Touch over a year ago. One of Lindsey's fortes is that she specializes in wedding upstyles, downstyles, or any style for that matter, that will make your entire wedding party look and feel their best. But it's not just weddings that has caught Lindsey's attention, as she has recently began her training in becoming a Paul Mitchell Educator. So whether it is for a special occasion or to punch-up your look, Lindsey has the experience and skills to make you stand out!

 

 

 

 

Diane Nikou - Stylist

Diane began her hair career nine years ago and was the stylist for Toronto Raptors Dance Pack for three years. We have been fortunate to have had Diane join Personal Touch almost three years ago- (With a break in there to welcome in her latest addition to her family!) With a eye for fashion Diane definitely loves to play with color and her specialty is using that edge to create fashion forward trends. What's one of Diane's favorite product picks?....That would have to be Paul Mitchell's Extra Body Finishing Spray....Feel free to try it out next time you're in....Diane will be returning to the hair world this summer so we will keep you posted on when we expect to welcome her back!

 

 

 

Gabriela El-Rassi - Barber

Gabriela has been a part of Personal Touch for two years now and with her spunky attitude comes over five years of hair experience. She now specializes in men's haircutting and design . Gabriella has been able to fine-tune her abilities in providing our male guests with great looking styles, from classic to trendy. You will find Gabriela at the salon on Thursdays through Saturdays so make sure you drop by to have her put a twist on your style.

 

Emily Taylor - Receptionist

Emily is currently wrapping up her education at The Career School for Hair and we are excited to soon be having her provide junior styling services here at the salon! But for now, Emily is still ready to greet you at the front of Personal Touch. We'll keep you posted on when she's ready to hit the floor and offer you her styling skills as well as bonded extensions!

 

 

 

 

Jennifer Buchan - Assistant

Whether its brewing you just the right coffee or putting the added touch of relaxation to your shampoo experience, Jenn is the girl you're looking for. Jenn loves hair and pursued that by graduating from Centennial College in 2009. As an integral part of the team there is never a dull moment for Jenn. You may often see her making sure the salon is ship-shape, helping to mix up color, and the list goes on. Always friendly and willing to lend a hand, you will find this busy lady all throughout the salon. What product would this super skinny lady gal suggest? Sue Cauchi - Stylist

Sue joined us at Personal Touch about a year ago and has been “Wowing” us ever since. Sue has been working in the industry for 20 years and her experience really shines through. This is a stylist who knows (and Loves) her Blondes! And Sue is as comfortable with men's styling as she is with the ladies so be sure to bring the whole family in to see her.
